school - round 2, part 2
We arrived just after 8:30. I took off his coat and hung it up, and we walked together through the building to the stairs that go up to where the little ones are. I tried to see if he would climb up by himself, but he refused, so I handed him over to his teacher and watched him cry his way upstairs. I cried too. But when they got up there, and she distracted him with lightswitches he was happy! I am glad of that.
Patrick has been at school since 8:30. It is 10. In that time I've gone for a walk, picked up my prescription, gotten a chiropractic adjustment, cleaned both my bathrooms, plucked my eyebrows, started the laundry, put a kitty-bed together and updated this blog. Whew.
I really miss him, though. Its so weird not to have him here with me. I know this is good for him: to be with other kids, to learn different things, to have a change of atmosphere. I just hope we're doing the right thing.
I called to see how he was getting along and he's great. He's had a few sad moments but overall he is enjoying himself.
I'll leave here at 10:30 to pick him up.
